Executive Director, Ambulatory Surgical Network

With a mission to advance knowledge and improve health through patient care, research, and the education of trainees in an inclusive culture that embraces diversity, fosters innovation, stimulates critical thinking, supports lifelong learning, and sustains the legacy of excellence, the University of Pennsylvania Health System (Penn Medicine) is launching a search for the Executive Director (ED), Ambulatory Surgical Network. Penn Medicine seeks an entrepreneurial, collaborative, and strategic leader to start a new ambulatory surgical center enterprise.
The new ED will report to Penn Medicine’s Chief Operating Officer and will:
- Provide leadership and the administration of operations for all Penn Medicine ambulatory surgical centers/facilities.
- Lead acquisitions and launch of new facilities to drive strategic growth within the Pennsylvania and New Jersey regions.
- Ensure alignment with Penn Medicine’s strategic and operational goals and priorities.
- Deliver consistent quality and cost-effective care and ensuring the patient experience is exceptional.
- Manage the financial performance of the ambulatory surgical centers along with reporting, implementing, and maintaining annual operating plans and budget.
The ED position is a compelling opportunity for a successful ambulatory surgical center executive to work at a world-class institution to start something new from scratch. Downtown Daily Bread (DDB), a cornerstone nonprofit serving Harrisburg’s homeless and food-insecure community for over 42 years, seeks a strategic and compassionate Executive Director to lead its next chapter of impact.
DDB operates with a $1.3M budget, a team of 15 staff, and a strong volunteer network providing critical services: weekday meals, a day shelter, a year-round men’s night shelter, and vital programs including hygiene services, lockers, mail, ID vouchers, and referrals to mental health, employment, and education resources.
Reporting to a dedicated Board of Directors, the Executive Director will drive high-level strategy, fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and community advocacy while working closely with the Director of Operations to deliver on DDB’s mission: confronting hunger and homelessness by providing daily food and shelter, fostering community, and inspiring hope.
Ideal candidates bring:
- 5+ years nonprofit or human services leadership
- Proven success in fundraising and donor relations
- Strong strategic, financial, and operational management skills

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Harrisburg. Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.

Associate Vice President, Real Estate Services

The University of Pennsylvania, Facilities and Real Estate Services seeks a leader to steward and curate the University real estate portfolio as the Associate Vice President, Real Estate Services.
The Real Estate Services department oversees the strategic planning, management, and operation of the University’s non-academic properties in support of the research and academic mission and to enhance campus life. The portfolio includes 22 commercial buildings (700,000 square feet); 75 residential buildings with 587 units; 15 mixed-use properties; third-party leasing representing 1.8 million square feet; 80 retailers; fraternity and sorority facilities management; and Pennovation Works, a 23-acre site with over 200,000 square feet comprised primarily of wet and dry laboratories and start-up space. The AVP manages a 19-person team and reports to the Senior Vice President, Facilities and Real Estate Services.
Possessing both strong real estate technical operational and strategic expertise, the person needs to have experience in a large urban setting either for a higher education institution, a health system, or a similarly complex organization. The individual should embrace sustainable real estate practices and have experience developing public-private partnerships and engaging with community organizations. The person must be a relationship builder, a strategic thinker, a savvy negotiator, an excellent communicator, and an organized and operationally minded collaborator. The individual must also have a proven track record managing and inspiring a team.

Director of Regional Planning
Lehigh Valley
Planning Commission

The Lehigh Valley Planning Commission seeks a leader to become the Director of Regional Planning.
Founded in 1961, the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission (LVPC) serves as the official regional planning entity for the Lehigh Valley. The LVPC reviews all sub-division, land development and stormwater activity, municipal land use ordinances, and comprehensive plans on behalf of Lehigh and Northampton Counties. In addition, to these municipal review responsibilities, the LVPC sets the development direction for the region, from housing to businesses and infrastructure to schools. The Lehigh Valley is strategically located on the eastern border of Pennsylvania, north of the Philadelphia region and west of the New York-New Jersey metropolitan statistical area. The fastest growing region in the Commonwealth, the Lehigh Valley is known for a high quality of life, recreational and cultural amenities, as well as its variety of housing and communities from rural to urban.
Based in Allentown, the Director of Regional Planning oversees general oversight and management of the organization’s planning program. As a member of the executive team, the Director of Regional Planning oversees the coordination and implementation across the community, environmental and transportation planning and data management sections. The Director of Regional Planning also leads the funding and partnership interests of the Commission and is a key member in developing the strategic plan.
The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in city or regional planning or a related field or equivalent experience; ten years of experience in planning, two of which shall include supervisory experience; five years’ experience in project management. The person must have excellent organizational and communication skills, an attention to detail, and an ability to manage competing priorities. The person must also have relevant experience managing staff. AICP certification or a related professional license is preferred. Valid driver’s license required. LVPC believes in the power of collaboration and connection and has a work from the office policy five days a week, and the salary is in the mid $100’s based upon experience.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will serve as the strategic and operational leader of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing Crosspoint’s mission, managing a $10.2 million budget, building meaningful partnerships, developing resources, leading a committed team, and elevating the visibility and impact of the organization.
The ideal candidate will bring leadership experience in the nonprofit, behavioral health, or human services sectors, a passion for restorative and second-chance services, and a track record of strategic, operational, and fundraising success. Candidates should be compelling communicators and relationship-builders, with the ability to engage a broad array of internal and external stakeholders. Experience with government contracting and service delivery to justice-involved or marginalized populations is highly valued.
